Those who must avoid gluten rely upon accurate gluten-free testing of food to make appropriate, safe food choices. Testing for the presence of gluten components ensures us that a crop which is naturally gluten free has not been cross contaminated prior to being packaged. COAs with Gluten Free results are provided with all bulk orders.
Golden Prairie has chosen labs that utilize Veratox Gliadin R5 testing to determine gluten levels in our oats. This test gives a quantitative result for gliadin (a component of gluten) and can not be sold as gluten-free unless it tests at less than 10ppm.
Testing occurs in a qualified 17025 approved lab.
Once deemed at <10ppm, our product becomes a NSF Certified Gluten-Free Product.
Test results are stored on file for each lot of oats.

As the gluten-free oats are processed and packaged, an auto-sampler composites a representative sample across a pallet’s worth of bagged product by taking a small portion of product each time a bag is filled.

Each pallet then has a corresponding sample to be tested for gluten. Samples are sent to an outside laboratory (Neogen) for testing.

The Veratox R5 Gliadin test is completed on each sample.

Samples less than 10ppm gluten qualify as certified gluten-free product.
